Original fictional learning scenario. People, dialogue and personal experiences are created for language practice.

At a college debate, one team predicted that artificial intelligence would remove tedious work, while another warned that it would remove workers. The audience was asked to choose an optimistic or pessimistic side. A student who worked in a small office challenged the format. Her team used a tool that saved time on routine drafts, but checking its mistakes created new responsibilities.

Whether the change helped depended partly on training, workload and who controlled the saved time. Her example did not settle every question about future systems. It did show why a label could hide useful distinctions. The debate became more productive when speakers discussed particular tasks and decisions. They could disagree about a risk without pretending that every possible application had the same consequences or that today's experience proved everything about tomorrow.
