Our class discussed a report about child marriage in Nepal. Before preparing posters, our teacher asked us to avoid describing a whole country through one problem. We focused on the young people's opportunities, their ability to remain in education and the importance of listening to those affected.
We also distinguished a law from what happens in everyday life: writing a rule does not automatically remove financial or social pressure. For our project, we chose to explain these pressures without inventing a dramatic personal story. The final poster included a source and questions for further reading. We wanted classmates to understand an issue involving real children, not remember a simple stereotype about people they had never met.
