I made a list before the Black Friday sale: a winter coat and a replacement charger. At the shop, a speaker with a large discount sign caught my eye. I almost bought it, although I already had one at home. Then I checked the price history I had saved.
The coat was genuinely cheaper, but the charger's price was the same as last week. I bought the coat and left the other things. My friend asked how much I had saved. I said the biggest saving came from not buying something I did not need, even when its discount looked impressive.
