Original fictional learning scenario. People, dialogue and personal experiences are created for language practice.

The first time I watched an entire series in a weekend, I enjoyed being able to follow the story without waiting. Later, the habit became less deliberate. One episode ended, another began automatically, and I sometimes continued even when I was no longer interested. I blamed my lack of discipline until a friend suggested changing the setting that played the next episode. The change did not force me to stop.

It simply restored a small decision between episodes. Sometimes I still watched three in a row, but I knew I had chosen to do so. I also began discussing one episode at a time with my sister. Slowing down gave us something to anticipate. For me, the issue was not whether long viewing sessions were always bad, but whether convenience had quietly replaced a choice.
