Original fictional learning scenario. People, dialogue and personal experiences are created for language practice.
I bought a concert poster at a market because it reminded me of the first show I attended with my brother. A friend later suggested it might be valuable if the signature on it was genuine. Suddenly I spent more time checking auction prices than enjoying the memory. An expert eventually told me the signature was probably printed.
I felt disappointed for a day, then put the poster back on my wall. The concert had not changed, and neither had my brother's terrible singing on the bus home. The experience helped me separate two kinds of value. An object can be a poor investment and still be something you would never choose to sell.
