Unusual and wonderful jobs

Original fictional learning scenario. People, dialogue and personal experiences are created for language practice.
For a careers project, we interviewed someone who repairs museum models. Her job sounded wonderfully strange: one morning she might mend a tiny ship, and the next she might rebuild a model bridge. Yet most of her work was less dramatic than the photographs suggested. She kept detailed records, tested materials and waited for glue to dry.
She explained that enthusiasm was useful, but patience mattered just as much. A student asked whether everyone should turn a hobby into a job. She said that depended on whether they would still enjoy the activity with deadlines and customer expectations. We left with a better question than 'Is this job unusual?' We wanted to know what an ordinary working day would feel like.
